i was removing the rear speaker holder in my coupe and noticed there was some kind of relay or ground attached to the plate. im not even sure if it has anything to do with the audio of the car. what are they for and do they need to be there for a specific reason?? i took out the holders to put in 6x9s and now theyre hanging. theyre about the size of legos, if any body remembers those .

 

Honda calls it a glass antenna coil.

 

what is its purpose? should i leave them?

 

It acts as an antenna booster to improve signal strength.

 

and yeah i would leave it, unless u have xm and u don't listen to regular radio.
