Default Need opinions about a B20 swap

Hi Everybody,
I'm new here and just wanted to bow dow to the experts
What do you think about swapping a B20 nonvtec into my 89 honda civic hatchback? Cuz I'd like to put a Greedy turbo. People have told me that the B20 has low compression and lots of torque. I'd like to push my car to 300hp. What would be the best option?

You might want to check this out: http://hybrid.honda-perf.org/index.html I'm not sure how easy the b20 will bolt in to your car. Anything is possible though and I'm sure it has been done.

I plan on swapping a b20 into either a 5th gen or 6gen hatch...whenever I find one for a good price (both the car and engine) The b20 is a sweet engine for torque

Ok dude, a b20 is no-different externally than a B18A/B(LS integra engine) So the same swap information apllies to this block as it would with an LS. You can check the site in my sig for a good write up on the swap.

Thanks for all your help
Just talked to another engine swap store and told me that maintaining either a supercharger or a turbo is gonna cost me LOTS as I can blow out the engine really easy. The best option is to build a really strong engine like a B18vtec or a B20vtec. What do you guys think is the best option for a 89 honda civic hatchback? I mean I'd like to push it to 300hp.

do you mean 300 crank hp or wheel hp? huge difference. 300 crank hp might be around 250 wheel hp (guesstimate). uhm I think n/a this combo in a ef would be retardedly fast. i somehow doubt you'd want 300whp as you prolly would want something that would actually maintain traction. and to do that yer talkin a whole buncha money after u spent $10k+ on b20vtec. so either way turbo/supercharge/b20vtec if u wanna push that kind of power you better be ready to shell out some serious cash.

Dude, sorry to tell you but at that power level, neither N/A or F/I is gonna be maintainence free. And who ever told you to go N/A over F/I "becuase you have to do to much maintainence" is a fucktard.

Damn! All that for just 225whp? And how much is that package?

Doesn't a Drag 3 kit put out more than that?

Hey silver89, if you decide to spend all that money to make 225 hp. I've got some swap land in Texas I'll sell you real cheap.

Thanks guys!
Ok here are is the thing, my car weights about 2100lbs. What much power to the wheel would be best for a civic hatchback without losing traction?
Cuz I know that the B18C5vtec stock is already 200hp 10.6. I'd like a set up of engine and turbo where I would not being BLOWING up engines every 3 months...

And what do you guys think about NOS? Does it really damage the engine?
