Default 2.5" header flange to stock cat with a Dodge Neon donut gasket ?

One of my friends told me that he used a Dodge Neon donut gasket to connect his JDM header to his stock USDM 2.25" flange cat....

I wanted to know if anyone else has done this or heard of it, and what all is entailed in connecting the pieces. If you have pics, that would be great...

I am trying to connect a Kamikaze header (2.5" flange) to the stock cat with as little work as possible, because the entire exhaust will be getting replaced later on.

Thanks,
Kevin

Have a muffler shop weld on a 2.5 flange on the cat...although going from a 2.5" collector to a 2" cat and exhaust is creating a significant bottleneck.

Will an OEM JDM cat prove to be better?

If the JDM cat is better then...how do I bolt the outlet of the cat to the B-pipe?

You can get a donut gasket from Honda also. The s2000 uses a 2.5 gasket and so does some CRV's

I went to my local auto parts store and in the back they have a large selection of universal parts. I have found many different sizes of donut and exhaust gaskets!!
