As long as they're about an average sized finger length (3-4inches) it should be long enough

thanks guys.... and why do i want them on the loose side.... i always thought it would be better to have them on the tighter side of the spec????

i use long angled, they are much easier to handle/use. and adjust them to spec. too tight and you will burn a valve, and too loose and you will not be using all your cam's profile.
