how do I open a jammed locked door?

how do I open a jammed locked door?

Recently my car got broken in into. They broke the drive side front window. Now the door is jammed locked. How can I open the door now?

Please advise

I would pop the door panel off and inspect the latching system if there's anything obstructing the motion. There may be pieces of glass everywhere.

Thats sort of difficult to do when you cant open the door!

I hate to say it but you are screwed. I would take that to the body shop because they would have all the neccessary items to make it open again.

Is the door lock not working or are the handles not working?

As advised earlier, you can pull the interior trim and determine why the lock rods are jammed. My experience with body shops is that they typically do not know much about disassembling vehicle interiors. If you are not comfortable doing this work, perhaps a stereo installation shop could help.
