Default Does converson kits for Integra's need weld work?

I accidentally posted this in the wrong section yesterday...but I hope you guys can help me with this

I'm just curious. I see all these conversion for the USDM DC2(S15, S14, ITR). I used to work for a aftermarket parts manufacturer and my coworker mentioned that for the DC2, you'll need some light welding work for the front end(radiator area) in order to do a complete conersion.
Now does this apply to all other conversion kits? Also does welding for the ITR only needed if it's a direct conversion(from pieces of an old ITR to a USDM DC2), or are there kits that are specially made to fit without body modifications or welding?

I'm possibly about to do a s15 front conversion...but was worried if welding is needed or is it directly bolt on. I see these places selling conversion kits...so I was curious.

For the S15s I think they use brackets that bolt to the existing frame; same thing goes for the Cali Type R kits (Poor man's JDM conv).
If you're going full JDM, then some welding will be required.

yes, from what ive read the stock radiator support has to be cut out and the jdm radiator support welded in, or maybe the stock one just has to be reconfigured? im not 100% on it, but yes i do believe it needs some welding

Bur with what rgaray mentioned. THere are kits that come with mounting brackets to convert them to ITR or others. Can you point to a direction where I can find the poor man's ITR conversion.

I wouldn't skimp on an itr conversion. There was a thread on here, awhile back, that used the usdm radiator support for the jdm itr front end. Try andy's autosport for the Cali Type R front end. You do have to remove your metal bumper behind the bumper cover for it to fit properly though.
