Does anyone have any negative feedback on the ES Oval mufflers? Too loud, or too raspy, poor build quality, or anything else?

 

i have an es oval and i like it overall

 

i've heard nothing but good things about those. couple of my boys have them, they sound nice

 

i have it on my EJ1...best sounding/looking muffler in my book!!! It has a deep/not rattle can sound note to it!!! Gets somewhat raspy on high rpms but i love it!!!

 

mine sounded raspy and cheap w/o a cat and resonator. It was straight through afterall.

I put on a cat and resonator and it sounds pretty good. Nice at idle, can get kinda loud at full throttle.

There's like 3 threads, that have several pages to them. Look them up too.

 

I jsut got mine in the mail the other day. It looks really good but I haven't put it on yet so I don't know what it sounds like. I have an airmass header, no cat, and no resonator with 2 1/4" exhaust so I'm kinda thinkin It'll quiet it down more than having no muffler what-so-ever. Either way I'll let you know how it sounds.

I had one...I liked it. I wish they made one in 3 inch though.

I personally would get a rsr exmag if your lookin for the sleeper look

when i had my da, i had the 2.25 oval with 2.25 piping, and i really liked the sound, not annoying. just deep smooth sound. when i hit redline thats when it got raspy. good muffler

I really wish an ExMag system were available for my 2000 GSR 4-door, but unfortunately, it's not.

had an apexi n1, had to get rid of it because it was TOO loud

till i slapped on that resonator and es oval, then slapped off the cat... it wasnt loud at all, but it can be heard, but nothing amazingly loud... i like it overal tho

 

Im running the Es' Oval in 2.5", no cat... But a resonator from my BC Catback. Sounds great, best bang for the buck!!!

it's cheap *** crap and they usually sound like a bee on crack trapped inside of a tin can amplified by the speakers on its a small world

Maganflow makes a similarly priced version and while the piping up to it plays a part for sure the muffler itself is much better

Only if I was in some kind of sick exhaust max decibal contest.

 

ES Oval is a good muffler by far its quite until you get on it the thing screams and it sounds waay clean. i would recommend them

 

mine is very raspy after 4k

 

Mine is raspy over 4k, maybe cuz I don't have a resonator. But I like it, doesn't attract too much attention with the local authorities.

 

have it and have liked it so far.
