I have a 99 civic ex with a 99 gsr motor. When i go and start it, it turns on and then shuts off right away. When i give it some gas to start it, i have to hold the gas so it keeps at idle for like 30 sec and then it idles normally. Sometimes the car starts normal and sometimes it chokes and i need to give it some gas.
what could be the problem.....

 

there's a main relay near your left foot, you may wanna replace that. turn your key and if you dont hear the whirring that means its the main relay or your fuel pump
