hi there, was looking to run my gsr on a scanner but couldnt find the port. I thought it was underneath the driverside but i could not find it there? It was on my LS but not on the GSR. if anyone can help me out with this, i would really appreciate it. thanks a lot<3

 

My 96LS is on the center console, passanger side all the way at the back.

 

For a gsr tho:X

95's are OBD1, no scanner port. Probably why you cant find it.

 

So how is it possible to find problems. Im asking this because my check engine light has been coming on lately. So i wanted to do a scan for it.

Key on\Key off test, thats how it done with the OBD1.

You also need to stick a wire/paper clip in the one plug near the ecu.

Same with Gsr obd2 also.

 

damn no body seemed to help you. Since it's OBD 1 you need to jump the harness, which is above the ecu. Reach under the glove box and pull the plug out, the one with only 2 wired in it. Jump it with a paper clip, turn ignition 2 on and read the code. It's really easy obd1&gt;obd2

 

if your car is a 95 it is OBD1, which means there is no scanner port. you can get code from the ECU, but i can't remember right now. I will have to get back to you about that.
