i read somewhere there was something that is different in the 88's than all the other years.. i tried to search but couldnt come up with it.. i also checked the FAQ's.. my problem is i ordered 4 new struts(tokico blues) and the sent me the rears for the 89+.. does anyone know if they will work? whats the difference between the two? THANKS!

 

88's have a different rear control arm. any other year rear shock wont work at all. either get the right shock, or the matching rear control arm. theres really no difference in performance and function otherwise.

 

you will need 89-91 rear lower control arms to work with those shocks ,,or order the correct 88 shocks..

basically the rear 89-91 is a fork style and the 88 has the eye style ..

yes i see what you guys are talking about.. i took the item out the box to see if it would work.. i did order the right part the company just sent out the wrong part.. how annoying now i have to wait another week!
