The Deadliest Catch
My footage from Sunday's second SoloII event of the year. Yes, It rained all day, but I still had fun...and managed to pull off the fastest time of the day out of 30 cars. I have four of my five runs uploaded...unfortunately, agian, I forgot to turn the camera on my fourth, (fastest run).

what did you use to compress your files?
mine seemed okay but when i uploaded to utube, the audio and video got out of sync.
starts out okay but then if you look close you'll see the tach and the sound don't go together and it gets worse throughout the run.

any ideas? i need to reed some of their faq's and experiment with compression methods, i guess.

Great driving...I couldn't hardly tell what was off. Not sure that there's a big issue in that clip.
I used iMovie and compressed/saved them using the web streaming option.

Actually, I'm having a local, (more experienced) local member look into it further. I gave him the list of my mods and what not. I'm pretty sure the reason they bumped me up to "E Prepared" is because of my carbon fiber hood and gutted rear seat & trunk. I think it's the right class.

Gutted trunk not SM legal. E Prepared is the right class.

Yup...thanks.

At the moment on the local level I guess it doesn't make a lot of difference other than the fact that as the season kicks in there should be more people to beat in SM than EP. If you have any thought of running at a Divisional or National level than I think you will certainly prefer to be in Street Mod and not EP where you will be up against some pretty serious cars. Due to the lack of folks running in your class locally you'll probably find that you are usually running with a group of cars from other classes that have been "bumped" together to make a class (it takes at least two cars to make a class at an event for trophies, as in March when the sole entries in BSP and ESP were bumped up until they made a class with you. For a look at how the bumping order works go to page 204 in the rules) This can be a two-edged sword as there may be some times when you will be bumped up into a much tougher class. However, even if you are bumped up into a tough class you may not revceve a trophy but you will still receive first place points for your class. Given that you've begun the season in EP I guess I'd recommend you stick with it as you are virtually guaranteed a class championship at the end of the year as you will probably have the class to yourself, bur there may be days you don't get a trophy. You'll probably also want to watch what's happening in the results for Street Mod to see whether you might want to switch next year. Looking again at the March results you would have been second (to Tim Callahan in his Evo) out of 5 cars. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Yup...thanks.
