Default Give JDMcarboy the benefit of the doubt or not?

So here is the skinny.. like a dumb *** I didn't research into JDMcarboy.com until after I had placed a $400 order with them.

I placed the order on 4/29 and was told I would have tracking by 5/3. Today is 5/4 I see nothing from them so I sent an email asking for status.. After that I looked them up to see what their reputation is like.. and wow.. what a discomforting feeling.. So my choices are to either call my bank and have my charges refunded or I can wait for the stuff to come in and possibly endure the same horrible service that many have had.

My order consisted of
99-00 EK R style or type front and rear lips
99-00 EK R style or type grill
99-00 EK "OE" thin side moldings
99-00 EK Side markers

Sadly it seems obvious that the local customers get good fitting parts while the customers out of state receive **** parts that don't fit and are a hassle to return.. when they are returned they often lose money for restocking or shipping.

In the event I wait for the parts I expect to have a hell of a time trying to get a refund or replacement considering their previous shitty service with other customers. From what I have seen and read it looks like the lips are a definite bad fit. Typically I don't like to back out on a purchase but when someone has continually rubbed their own name in the dirt by providing shitty service how much faith can a person have in that person or business?

For the record I just want good fitting parts, it's not that I suddenly remembered that I get high on Thursday and need the money to fulfill my crack binge. So what do you guys say?.. Give it a shot or give them what they deserve based on their feedback?
or

Whoa, not good. I would contact the bank and findout what your options are. In the meantime you can keep looking for that tracking number.

A lot of replica lips have fitment problems, it's not just them. The fact is, you get what you pay for.
Your getting;
Front lip, rear lip, front grill, side markers, and thin side moldings for $400.
With a deal that good, you have to expect a few snags. I'm not defending them in any way, but I would never expect OEM quality/service and outstanding prices from the same business.
If your willing to pay more for the parts, then canc the check and go else where, but if your willing to sand and shape the lips in order to save a buck, then keep em.
Good Luck.

This is pretty much the best thing to do.

I agree with B18ls.

If you buy replica parts don't expect the best fit and finish. If you wanted it to look good why did you not go oem? I know it cost a bit more but do you want your car too look the best or sub par?

I say you might as well cancel your order since it looks like they have not shipped it.

I just dont get this there are more bad threads on honda-tech about jdmcarboy than some scammers. They might be good people at heart but should focus on their customer service skills. I have never bought anything from them but as many hate threads ive seen on them they seem to be worst than scammers.

I hate to say it but this is what you get when you buy copied of fake products. You often are buying crappy stuff from a company that is really a copy or a replica of a good company. (no personal experience with them, just basing it on what you are saying)

We have the lip, markers, and moldings in stock. Genuine Honda. You would have them already and they would fit perfect.

On Point!

Aftermarket stuff is always going to be imperfect. That's just the way it is. I sell lip kits too and they fit well, but they dont fit perfect. If you're not happy witht he fitment, just break out the dremel and some sand paper and go to work.

Easy with the name calling.

Jdm Carboy didnt scam him, he got what he paid for.

As for the customer service issue, that's something different.

Paul you gotta be careful when you call out names like that. Saying the wrong name can mess up a guys reputation, especially on HT where rumors and BS spreads like wildfire.

Eddie Elias aka Duffm4n does not work at JDMCARBOY.

However, Eddie Elias does like to take it IDB every now and then. You can spread that rumor around if you like.
