stumbling idle and temp spikes!!!
[edit]: D'Oh, it's a 92 civic DX hatch.
Well guys, now in addition to my clutch problem (shitty pedal feel and inconsistant ingagement/locked out) my car now has the following simptoms as described:
1. Stumbling idle, I start her up and the it struggles to idle until after a few second it usuallly "figures itself out".
2. Today on my way home, I downshifted to 4th to pass someone and then upon reentering the lane and checking my gauge cluster the huge DX cluster showed the temp needle very close to the red!!!! I grabed 5th again and cruised and withing a few seconds it was quick to go back to where it normally sits (just slightly below the mid point).
A few things that may help diagnose.... car seemed to be taking a bit longer to warm up in the mornings the past week, also the car through a CODE 9 about a month ago but hasn't reoccured since, no ECU reset.
Thanks for any speedy responses, as this is my daily driver and it will be going on a 8 hr road trip next week.

Sounds like blown H Gasket.
Basically you have water in the chamber when you start it so, it runs rough until it blows the water out then, you have combustion gases going into the coolant making it overheat while driving.
Might be something else. Might want to compression check it.
