Default PR3 Spoon Ecu in 94 GSR?

PR3 Spoon Ecu in 94 GSR?

I got the obd1 pr3 authentic spoon ecu and was wondering how it would perform on my motor.

So basically im asking, should i use it or just get my P72 chipped and sell. thanks!

haha I asked the same thing.

But with out inner mods to your engine I dont think it is a good idea. arent those ECUs designed for their crate motors? that are designed to run at high rpms?

I dont think the stock GSR engine can take the high rpms.

my gsr has itr cams, toda valve springs, portflow ti retainers, skunk hi comp valve springs. slightly ported, thermal coated and some small stuff.

All i want to know is that since the ecu is for a b16a from a DA6 would it run weird or bad or good or what? Im not really a electric or ecu expert so thats why im asking for advice. thanks!

are u using an aftermarket manifold? if you still have your dual stage manifold with buttferflies then this ECU will run like crap on your car because there is no IAB sensor in that ecu. if u change to a single runner ECU then itll perform great
P.S with that mod, i would just get a VAFC to raise VTEC Xover to 52k^ so it will avoid bogging and your butterflies being activated

yes it would be ok. it should run fine.,. depending on how well your specs meet the basmap on your ECU.

so it would run just as well as a chipped P28? the reason why i ask is because i could use a friends JUN chipped P28 or just use this one... jsut wondering which would be better...

its mostly gonna be for daily anyways but it would be nice to know.

so it comes down to a JUN chip or a Spoon chip.. the pr3 or p28 doesnt have anything to do with each other because once chipped the basemap is all different. you're just going to have to test both out and see which one best fits your set up
