I have an 89 Civic Hatch with a B16 swap, thats why my username is B16ED4G
my wife drives a 98 accord LX which has the manual A/C controls, I have the option to get an A/C control head from an accord that was equipped with the electronic climate control. My question is, will this unit just plug and play in my accord? will i have to do any modifications to adapt it?

Most likely you will have to adapt it as the temperature sensor is not in that cluster and I doubt that that thing controls everything. I would test it to see if it would work first.

My Mom's 98 EX-V-6 has the auto climate control, and not sure about the manual one but does the manual one bascially have an infintly adjustable fan? I noticed her car slowly gains and looses speed depending on the temperature you set. I know that the temperature sensor is to the right of the steering wheel and I also think there is a Sun Sensor mounted in the center of the Dash. Sounds like an awfully big project... but maybe it just sounds that way. Just my .02.
