ok, i swapped an obd1 b18b1 into my 94 dx. im getting random misfire. but its not throwing any cel codes. ive searched for any info i could find out, but couldnt find anything with a similar issue. so heres what ive done already, and heres what happens.

random misfire at cold start, at idle, and under load. its just a random misfire al together. at cold start the engine also surges from 2k-2200rpm.

heres what ive done so far. seafoam treatment, replace dizzy cap, rotor, spark plugs, plug wires. checked fuel line from fuel filter-fuel rail.

if any1 can think of anything, lemme know im tryin to do this on my own cuz im sick of paying other ppl to TELL me my car is misfiring, and not being able to fix it.

wow sounds real odd since u say u replaced the dizzy cap, rotor, spark plug and wires. Bump for you!

check the compression

 

check injectors, fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, and all grounds

 

i talked to honda, they said it could also be a coil pack issue.

has any1 else had an issue with a coil pack going bad?
