Default wheelie bar

some swap civc on NOS and all have wheelie bars on them? the front tires never leave the ground on a FWD vehicle, right? If anyone has a site, info, or seen a FWD car leave the ground somewhere, let me know. thanx

don't think that's possible, not for a noticeable amount of time at least. As soon as the front tire leaves the ground, the car will slow down because there's nothing moving it...causing it to touch ground.

About the most you can do is wheel hop...unless you install anti-gravity or have M4D TYT3 JDM V-TECH YO! NAAAWWWSSS

yeah. exactly what I was thinking. But yeah, I'm referring to the tires leaving the ground for like a point of a sec(wheel hop)? and if that isn't possible for a long period of time, WHY n the hell do some FWD vehicles have wheelie bars? thanx

To be honest with you, this was the very first thing that came to my mind.

I always assumed it had to do with the rear of the car dipping during a hard launch or shift.

you are correct, it keeps the weight over the front of the wheels, helps the front of the car stay down to the ground and keep traction.

Why not just rake the car, and install stiffer rear springs. It does not make any sense to drag the wheel bar to load the frontend on a FWD car

They used to have hydraulics that put pressure on the wheelie bar at launch. Now they set them just above the track surface and they help keep the car from transferring weight at launch.

Yeah, keeps weight on the wheels, even in a FWD car the car dips back when u get on it and shifts forward when u let off it....

Also, in the drag series, they convert most cars that were originally FWD (noens, civics, integras, etc.) to RWD when they're pushing out like 1600 HP..

Again these are the same cars that look NOTHING like the original car except for the one emblem on it....

Not sure if anybody else has seen them...drag racers, they're like "yeah, look at this dodge neon pulling up the line" - thing looks like a ******* rocket, the only thing that makes u think it's a neon is the fact he said it's a neon, thing's RWD, putting out like 1600 hp, it's rediculous O.o They need wheelie bars...then again, that's a different story all together...

Usually it's just to keep weight over front wheels, and yeah, the most u'll get is a wheel hop...but usually that happens when ur mounts are bad
