what helmets do you all sport?
I'm lookin to get a helmet, though I don't know exactly what kind. Is there much of a visibility difference between full face and open face? Heat diff?
I'm going to be auto crossing as soon as I get one, but I don't wanna drop more than 250 on one... ideally closer to 150, but I dont see a lot in that range.
any info is appreciated, thanks!

I bought the cheapest one I could find. KBC and open faced. I've used it a few years with no complaints.
If you go that route, don't buy white. Grid folks seem to like to try to grab it out of my car and give it to novices and passengers.

bell sport III closed face.
but if you are strictly a/x and have an active air bag, you might want to consider an open face.
the driver's suit is so hot, the closed helmut never seemed to make a difference.
biggest thing is fit. try to find a place and try one on. its worth paying more for a helmut that you know will fit.
ps, good time to get one since the 2005's are out. make sure it is a SA 2005 and not an M2005 or just a DOT in case you get onto a road course where you need one.
