What do i need to do if i want to put a hf tranny with a sohc ZC in a 91 crx si? i need help i searched but could not find a dinfinative ansewer.

 

just curious why would you want to do that?

are you currently using the zc tranny?

 

gas mileage. i have 275k on my d16a6 with si tranny and probably going soon. so i want power with good gas mileage

 

Just make sure you use the Clutch Disk/Pressure Plate that matches the year series of the transmission and you're set.

Do you have the transmission already? If not do some math and figure out what gearings will allow you to keep your ZC at/near it's powerband and you'll help save some gas. Go too low in RPM's and you're hurting your MPG

So if you match a sohc zc with a hf tranny all you need is hf fly wheel and clutch and si axels as long as the car is an si?

 

Not HF clutch setup necessarily. 88's have a different number of splines than the 89-91's.

 

man i used to drop into first on my hf tranny with a si motor but i didnt give a **** about the engine bought a b16 the 2nd week i had the car lol
