Good Street Tire + wheel combination for dedicated Auto-x Integra
Which wheel size would work best for an Integra on street tires in STSclass ( can have upto 7.5 width)? I get conflicting answers like 15x7, 16x7, 16x7.5
Any reccomendation on any specific manufacturer? Not the very expensive ultra light ones but the wheels around $500, 600, 700 max.
What is the reccomended tires size and manufacturer?
Thanks all!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Car is a 99 GSR running on 400 Front and 450 Rear GC's and Koni yellows. Type-R rear sway bar, Corner weighed etc not used as a daily driver

Potenza S03s are the best street tires I've driven on. I haven't driven on Azenis, which people say have more dry grip than S03s.
Here is my thought...
Azenis 615 is the way to go if you consider the price and usage (auto-x, excellent dry traction etc)
Considering 15x7 wheels, only 205/50R15 is available. Not sure when 225/50R15 will be available
Other option is to go with 16x7 wheels ( little bit extra weight
) but Azenis is available in 225/50R16
I think, I am going to go with 16x7 and Azenis 225/50R16
Any thoughts??????

those tires are way too tall.
here are the things that matter most when choosing wheels and tires:
1. the tires (compound and size)
2. wheel width
3. weight
so pick your wheels around the tires you want to run, and get them as wide as class rules allow.
and, falken has started making 215/45/16 azenis again.

November, according to Vulcan's website.
As noted above, the 215/45-16 (as well as 205/50-15) is available now.

There is no reason to go with a 15x7 over a 15x7.5.
The 3rd gen integras are heavy compared to the spec 89 civics and need as much tire width up front as you can. It's a toss up between 15x7.5 and 16x7.5 because tire size availability and brands are always changing. Pay attention to the overall diameter of whatever tire you're looking at because 16's can be shorter than 15's.

So how about 215/45-16 on a 16x7 wheel? This way, I can use my existing 16x7 Konigs
I guess this set up will be better than 205/50R15 on a 15x7 or a 225/50R16 on a 16x7
Also 7.5" wheels seems to be much expensive and are difficult to get as used ones

Use whatever you want but if it were my car I would go 7.5.
Also, you only need the 7.5 in the front so use 7 in the rear to help get some more oversteer as the rest of the setup looks fairly mild.

One of the street tire manufacturers is coming out with a 225 45 15, I just don't remember which one. Or which tire...
Edit: Kooks....RS-2's. I'd be willing to try those in a 225 and see what goes on.

this is a good set up

(It really is, not just because you asked us to tell you that.)

thanks guys....

Let me ask another stupid question....planning to have a 'auto-x centric' alignment. Can I get the alignment in my crappy 15" tires?
Does it matter which wheel+tire combo I get the alignment

as long as they do the alignment in degrees and not inches, it should carry over for any wheel setup.
