Hi,

I believe my VSS is going out on me - 89 Prelude SI with 4WS.

The local Honda dealer is quoting me $250+!!!

Any ideas where I could get one cheaper, or second hand?

Also, is it possible to rebuild it? I've got a friend who's pretty good with electronics...

i dunno about a rebuild, but you should look into a junkyard, auto parts stores, ebay, or even on here. and make sure it is you VSS and not something like your gauge before you go and spend that kind of money. real easy part to replace on your own with basic tools too.
