Default First drag race this friday, need advice

I have a bone stock 1987 CRX Si. Everything in the car is stock, but I'm running it out of curiosity. The car was able to do 16.7 with a professional driver according to car & driver, but probably not anymore. I'm just looking for 17's this friday, and need advice on last minute things I can do to make it faster. So far I'm just going to change the oil but that's due for a change anyway, and take out all the spare crap. I know how to launch and shift well (ride the clutch like a bitch) but my main limit is my car.

What can I do to make my car run faster? What weight reduction can I do, or any small little performance mods.

There's nothing you can do to make your car run faster. Just go to the track and make sure you go around the water box, so you don't get water all over the track.

Oh yeah I already know how the entire thing goes. I hate the people who go through the water box without slicks, then drip water on the entire track and ruin it for everyone else.

My main concern is weight. My car is 1947 with driver and half tank of fuel, what can I do to get that down even more?

Well you could take out the passenger seat and door panels and all that crap, but I dont' think it will really affect your times enough for all the trouble. Your car is already light as hell, so I wouldn't worry.
