what to do with 90 integra
Hey everyone. I haven't been on here lately because i traded in the ole 98 ex for a 2004 si. Well my girlfriends 90 integra has bent valves in the head. She has since got a new car (2002 accord ex) and we haven't done much to the integra. I don't want to just let it sit there, as i am getting a little strapped for cash, and it seems like a waste. Since i deliver pizza i was thinking to use it for my job. However im wondering if the price of getting a new head put on is even worth it with such a car? A question i have is, how long SHOULD it take a shop to install a new head if the current one is already removed? i've got two estimates, one for 7 hours, another for 12! I have been on honda forums for years, and i know enough about them, however i have no experience in head work. If cars was school i would be a 3rd grader... I have helped friends with swaps (complete) and done most of my own easy labor. How hard is it to do this job with basic craftsman tools (no air tools) for a single person? Is it something i should attempt? i really don't want to fork out 400-800$ just to get a head put on. I have never taken a car of mine to an actual automotive garage, and it just feels most shops are trying to rip you off. Is there a good nationak chain thats worthy to check out? is it easy enough to install new rings while im in there? the car has 155k miles, and smoked some when it ran.
I was also thinking i could part it out, that way i don't have to invest any money, but alot of time.
Would it be worth it to part out?
Sorry for all questions, i guess my avatar says it all.

did the car overheated?
cause if it did the pistons are also out of shape
so it will be best to swap engine in wich they sell for $300 or less
as for just swaping the head and the valves you will be looking at $40 or so to change each valve and then labor to replace..
so best bet is just to donate it....

You should just part it out... You'll probably make the most money that way, and you should sell me the shift assembly, tranny mount, and ecu! Wait, is it a manual?
Btw anyone who has a DA they are parting out or knows someone who has one I NEED SHIFT ASSEMBLY, STARTER, TRANNY MOUNT, 1990 ECU, PEDAL SENSORS, ETC. Drop me an email thisbuds4u@gmail.com
