Default H22a1 many probs aaahhhh nightmare

i have a 1993 SI with a jdm h22a1 swap and the car was thought about selling because of so many damn problems. Then two things came to my mind, Damn i love this car so much. Incredable pick-up in any gear and the fastest thing i ever owned lol... The second thing, damn i spent just as much money workin on the car as much as it's depreciated value. People don't understand cars like we do i guess the meaning of power in a 4cyl compared to a V8 the way gas price is lookin lol... well anyway about 6 months ago my car died on me driving one minute next minute shut down. After some test i did at school with big diog. test it was the sensor in distrib. So i changed intire distrib. Then after a few months my clutch went out, so i baught an act street racing clutch stage 2. kinda expected clutch to go out being car has 248K miles on it and it was just jdm engine stock trans. You wouldn't know trany works perfect can feel a little wear in the gears, only when car is shifting in the 7500 zone, but driving traffic easy shifting slides into gears very smoothly. Reverse has some trouble getting into when just starting up but i hear thas quiet normal for honda trany to have troubled reverse and 3rd gear small grinds. Well anyway the existing problems and would like to do soon. As of now the car has to seem like something is in the transfer case. It ratles small sounds when foot is off clutch but goes away when on the clutch, but does only in nutl. when in gear smooth with foot on clutch. Another problem i am having is sounds ratling from exhaust almost sounds like. When driving stoping at red lights it rattles sometimes and when turning left it really rattles. I layed down in front on driver tire, while it was turned left it seems as if it was coming from the underdrive pulley. I was thinkin a bearing on it most probable and seems like it kinda moves. I have an oil leak but i figured out the problem, oil pan was missin some screws and needed new pan gasket. Bassicly only problems i have on car. Now the advice, i have intake hi-pro wires stage2 clutch and looking for exhaust, for the car. I would rather buy used from someone to save some money or maybe pick it up from ebay. Not sure if they'll hold up long or not. The engine has about 80k from me and supose to have 30 or 40k when purchased. Would just like some advice if i should buy a cheap truck for time being if i should get engine rebuilt for a turbo. I was thinkin about a holy moly kit a cheap kit from ebay, not lookin for to much power. Saving some bucks for bills but just looking for power for my car. Also want it to last as long as i can keep it running If ya think i should rebuild please inform me because i'll just give licience plate back and cancel insurance and bring it somewheres and save up some money Which i really don't want to do. When turbo is finished what electronical things should i throw in and fuel upgrades to get. Computer will also be all upgrated and eventually fuel managment system hopfully. I plan on investing a good bit of money into the car and keeping it many more years as long as this damn country lets us drive gas powered vehicles, ok maybe not that long but a few years. Ya you get the point. A/C doesn't work anyway so i'm thinking i should pull all that out anyway. Well i think thas everything for me. would apreciate some assistance and advice.

Greatly appreciated,
Lee Babin

What is your question?

Owning a 13 year old car with almost 250k miles is a labor of love. Expect things to break. Constantly. Especially if you drive the car hard.

Theres really no advice anyone can give you. Either you want to keep the car and deal with the headaches or you want to sell the car for something new.

Make a decision.

If you want this car to be reliable, forget about adding a turbo. Cheaper turbo kits are a nightmare and it puts a lot of stress to your engine. Upgrade your i/e get Vafc and Dynotune it.
