Default LS swap into 92 civic

in the process of searching but need some help. im looking at buying a entire JDM ls setup with 30,000mi. thats was once installed into a hatch. i would like to make it LS-VTEC with either GSR or b16 head. ive been told its very unreliable at about 80000 mi. now is this a true statement. it would be in my daily driver which normally i drive about 300 a week. but still rip on it here and there. Someone on here help me out without the bashing.

Thanx
Paul

well reliabilty is also based on how you drive it, if you were a nanna and only went 3 grand daily it will last a hell of a lot longer then if you were to thrash it to 7 grand and the occasional 8 grand. and also it would all depend on if you warm your car up before thrashing it.

why don't you just converted to ls-vtec before you swap it. save you alot of time and money in the long run. it's a lot easier with the motor out of the car.as for the reliable part, who's gonna do the ls-vtec conversion for you? it all depend on how you put it together and what part you use. don't cheap out. golden eagle sales a conversion kit that allow you to do the conversion without any machine work for $200. also get arp head stud, itr oil pump, itr water pump, itr timing belt. if built right it'll be as reliable as any honda out there.
