Default How Hard is it to take off Trunk

Im looking to switch trunks with a friend. mine has a spoiler and his doesnt. how much time will i be looking at. And also would be taking the rear window off easy also? This is for a 97 and 98 integra. will this also fit perfectly?

I dont know how difficult it will be to swap, but I know it should fit perfectly. The hatches are the same

the trunk is easy to take off just follow the bolts and wireharnesses...as for the glass you need a glass guy to take it out unless you have piano cable or glass wire...

h/o == hold on.

and I have no idea where the pics are now, but all you do is pop off the rear head liner,
all the bolts holding it on should be under that.

why would you want to change the glass though?

and what about the electrical stuff. like brake lights cord . and the release lever and all the good stuff.

Release lever isn't actually ON the hatch, but the trunk area of the car.

Not sure about the wiring, All I can think of it just cut and mark each wire of both,
make sure they're all the same then splice back together when done.

You do not want to remove the glass. It is going to be heavy.

this is the story. i found a guy that wanted to buy my stock spoiler, he had a trunk without holes in it and his rear window is tinted. and i dint want the holes in mine. so we decided to switch. but he wanted his tinted windows.

what othe options are available? should i just sell my wing and patch up the holes? but i thin it would cost more

what do u guys think. would it be worth it to do all that work just to get a trunk with no holes? or should i have somone just cover them up or try to do it myself.

take off headliner, and you will see the bolts...unbolt trunk shocks and the hatch bolts and bam...its out...

Removing the glass is not an easy task. It involves using a piano wire to remove the glass wihich destroys the gasket. The gasket alone is over $100.

i got the glass part is hard and heavy to do and not worth doing. but can it be done witout removing the glass . and just exchange the metal trunk lids.
