Yessir, the H22 from the Prelude is about the only swap that's going to be any real upgrade, the B18 from the Type-r isn't going to have enough torque to pull our heavy asses anywhere.

Feel free to read some other posts on the page that already talk about this though, it'll save us all a little time and trouble.

What about the H23 VTEC and non-VTEC?

welcome jeff...the h23 vtec is from the accord wagon SiR-t which is an extremely rare vehicle found in japan...this engine is rather rare to find as well...the h23 non vtec is good for turbo purposes and has a good large amount of tourque as well...the type r engine from the intgra or the civic wouldn't work because the engine block is smaller than your stock one and it doesn't have the tourque to do sh*t for us as previously stated...you are probably going to have to use a prelude engine or the h23 for serious power...or you can use a turbo on your existing block if you want to tinker around with that...but i don't know what engine you have or what you are running already so i don't know where you should go next with your car...good luck and again welcom!

is there even an actual car called the accord type R ?...i know there's the euro R and the japanese SiR-t but i have never seen the actual type R...but maybe i'm wrong...the engine of the euro R sucks by the way...it's only got 160 hp or something like that...it's a disgrace to honda's R series!

The Type-R engine in the Accord (H20) was a Europe only engine, and is so extremely rare that the money is better spent elsewhere. However, there is a company importing them for about $5,000US including ECU and tranny. However, an H22 is much better in the long run.

It does have 220hp, but it was forced to be 2.0L for it to be eligible in the BTCC because of its strict homologation rules.

yes, it would...IF:
1. you have tons of money
2. you want to be different
3. you want a swap...but dont want the best one
4. dont care about torque
5. want a cool blue valve cover

comprende?

there is no such thing, the euro r motor is an h22 similar in spec to the type-s witht he exception of higher compression, as for the intake manifold (i havent really done my homework on this model) i cant read kanji

Nah, its kanji/hiragana mix, I can only read a lil of it.
