MSD Blaster 2 Coil Help..
Hey guys, I just got a blaster 2 coil and it says I need a .8 ohm ballast resistor(what is it, and where can I get it), i am using this with the stock ignition for now, and will add a ignition upgrade later, I am just switching the internal coil for the msd unit now...thanks for the advice...i did search and came up only with peeps selling theirs..
alrighty then, thanks for the info, yeah i got a bit confused when it started going into all that jazz about needing a resistor and stuff...
I'm not sure because it's been a while, but doesn't it say you need the resistor when you don't have the MSD box?
I put one on my Accord when I installed the Blaster2 coil, that was like 3 years ago and has since been totalled and parted out. I think I got my resistor at Radio Shack or a local electronics store, can't exactly remember. I just put it inline with one of the wires, I don't remember which one though. Had the coil mounted on a plate that was held down by the battery and the resistor mounted on the same plate next to the coil.

yeah, thats what I thought, but several of my buddies have said the same thing that, the resistor is not needed, i just got it hooked up and is running okay, we'll see what happens down the road...thanks
yeah, I was told the same thing when I did mine. I put it in there anyways because they (resistor) are cheap and I didn't feel like chancing it.
