help me out 91 ls knockimg
The other day i was driving home on the interstate doing about 65 and my integra started making this clicking sound. Its got about 155 thousand miles and normally runs like a champ. I knew right away this sound wasnt good, so i pulled over, left it running and popped the hood, everything seemed to be running fine, checked the fluids all was good. Got back in the car and went to take off and the damn thing wouldnt go over like 55, so i pulled back over. Shut it off, when i went to start it it would barely run, i nursed it off the road and parked it. Anyone konw what it could be. I figured either a rod or a valve. A valve is an easy fix and rod is not. Can any of you shed sum light on my problem
have you over-reved recently? i just fixed my rod knock problem in my car...it wasnt to hard, because i caught it really early.
the best way to tell where your noise is comming from it to get a long screwdriver move the tip around the engine with your ear to the handle.

well for my situation i just replaced the rod bearings. i caught my knock early and there was no damage to the crank or rods. i got the letters off the crank and the numbers off the rods and went to honda and used those numbers to get the size of the stock bearings the engine had.
