jdm foglight circuit wiring
First here's what I have... JDM Fogs, Relay, and Switch. USDM harness. I have a 94 prelude. I've tried this foglight switch harness scheme found in other topics and it didn't work...jdm red/yellow to usdm red/yellow, jdm black to usdm red/green, jdm red/black to usdm orange. I just plugged everything into the usdm harness. with the exception of the above change. Nothing works. I hear the relay clicking but i just keep blowing fuses. After searching I've found this wiring schematic:http://www.hondaautomotivepart....html , this pic of my switch:
the schematic dosen't help b/c the switch wires are different colors b/c of my JDM Switch. Thanks for any help.

there are three usdm wires you are plugging into: red/yellow, red/green, and orange? I assume orange goes to the fuse?
the relay and switch and fog lights are already hooked together correctly as per the schematic? regardless of wire colors, there aren't that many options.

yes those are the wire colors in the switch harness. i don't know where the orange goes to. according to the schematic above, there are 4 wires coming from the switch harness. there are 4 pins in the back of the switch visable when the harness is unplugged. but there are only the red/yellow, red/green, and orange wires in the switch harness in my car. i don't know anything about the dimmer relay. is that already in the car?? Thanks for your help.
I originally had the fogs installed on my car before, but I took them off to let my friend try it on his car. And when I put it back on my car the fuse kept poping also. I just went ahead and took the acutal light apart and put it back together. I figured that it wasn't properly grounded. Maybe you have the same problem?

It sounds like there is a short. Try using an isolated power and ground wire without the relay, but be sure to use a fuse on the hot wire. If you hook it up straight to the battery and everything works fine. Then you're problem is with the wiring. If you blow the fuse then there is a short somewhere in the housing.
I'll try that but I still don't know the sequence of the wires in the harness going into the fog switch (shown in the first pic). There are 4 pins but only 3 wires in the factory harness. but the jdm harness that came with the switch only had 3 wires as well. so i think i'm ok there. i forgot which 3 pins are used in the switch. i've taken all wires out of the jdm and usdm harnesses. im a dumbass i know.
problem solved... so get this. somehow the plug to the left fog was cut off at one time and taped back on with the - and + touching. durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. all probs solved. all extra packs of fuses to be returned. thanks for your input guys.
haha what a gay *** problem....i'm glad you figured it out
on that note, dont you guys get sick of having to have the lights on to switch the fogs on, if i got my hands on one of those swtiches i would just wire it so i could switch them on whenever i want, right now, they're wired in with my parking lights...
either way,

either way,
all you have to do is run a wire from your parking lights to the relay. connect it to the "hi/low" pin on the relay. i think that would work. any other ideas? I'm thinking about doin it soon. ill let yall know.
