where does the other header go? haha sorry there's only one header

They are both going to be about the same. The DC header I've heard will give you a lower tone than the type s, so that part is up to you. If you plan on doing any other JDM stuff with your car, go type-s, if not just go with DC, or something even better. Have you heard of RMF custom header? I've heard that with this header, intake and exhaust you will dyno 200 wheel hp guaranteed on an h22

you will not dyno 200whp with RMF, I/E. there is no guarantee of this whatsoever. RMF will make way more power than type-s or dc but not 200whp

Maybe if you had a really good tune you'd make 200 but otherwise I highly doubt it.

a REALLY good intake like ITB's or a velocity air stack into a single runner (euroR) intake manifold. and a REALLY good exhaust like a custom magnaflow. im sure it CAN be done. more reallistically would be adding stage2 or 3 cams. that WOULD guaranentee 200whp.

exactly. I don't know how many times I have to keep quoting myself...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by The_Sober &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">It seems many of us keep forgetting that a dyno (short for dynamometer) measures change in output--from the root word "dynamic"

An example: Dyno #1 isn't necessarily meant to measure how much horsepower you're making over your buddy's hp numbers that he got on Dyno #2. It is meant to show the gain (or loss) over your previous mods. It measures how much your horsepower and torque have changed since the last run.

A ambient temp difference of 20 degrees and 20% humidity can give you dyno numbers that are 3-4 hp off on a motorcycle. I can't even imagine how far they can be off on a 200hp+ car...

Didn't you ever wonder why horsepower numbers from the manufacturers are (almost) always in 5hp increments? It's because they fudge their own dyno numbers to get the readings they want. This is why they've recently come out with SAE "Certified" horsepower. This is meant to standardize manufacturer's dynos so they are all calibrated the same and run under the same conditions. </TD></TR></TABLE>

I was just saying what I heard from someone who bought one. When he bought it, the guy who sold it to him told him they were guaranteed 200 whp with this, an intake, and an exhaust. Why are you people always so negative? Just because you haven't heard it doesn't mean it isn't true. Kou_Lude sorry these flamers took over your thread. DC is cheaper and probably easier to find than type-s, but it all just depends on what you want with your car

Umm I thought it was COMMON KNOWLEDGE that at least JDM H22's WILL dyno around 200whp with I/H/E and good tuning providing that H is a SMSP or RMF. Instead all you people trying to call this guy out are the noobs.

200 whp depends on the tune, the dyno, a million different factors.

it's possible that it will and won't make 200 whp. whatever the case, 200 whp is just a #...

what's more important than the peak whp # is the hp/tq curves...

It's not being negative, but realistic.

There is no guarantees in this business, you can't just trow stuff on and expect a certain hp number. There is a bunch of other factors that influence the result.

IMHO, peak whp number doesn't mean much anyway. You gotta look at the whole powerband.

get a DC and just hollow out the collector and get a test pipe (ghetto/cheap race header FTW!)
