if you want to drive the crx the way it was intended to...you don't want any open liquids the car, anything less then a bottled drink is HIGHLY NOT recommended.

but what you're doing has been done for ages, i've seen people put sentra cup holder in there, you can swap out the center console for a teg console, which has the cup holder...many options..you just gotta search...

Dremel + 1.5" wood screw + $1.99 cupholder from AutoZone:

There is already an existing hole and screw in that location.

fireant, nice MacGuyver setup!

I have something similar - I think the company that made them is bankrupt (made them mostly for off-road applications), but the location's perfect.

PSHT that is too far to reach. And what is wrong with all of you. There is no sport in a cup holder in a CRX. PHST!! Real CRX drivers can be spot anywhere as the proudly wear there favorite drink all over there pants/shorts/jeans.

you can use a older ford taurus holder too, they are actually a DIN form factor (like a radio is). if u modify the lower cubby hole below the stereo in a crx to accept a DIN it will work fine!

I don't do plastic! It's the top of the line, F4. I figured if I'm going to get reamed, might as well take up as high as possible. I think it was like $115 or so. Silly, yes, but damn, can it hold a biggie sized coke!

Yeah, the BCS thing was awesome. They were bought out by another company, and now that website's down. I think they're down for the count.

As far as too much of a reach, it's a CRX - everything's close.

I don't think a cup holder could have kept me from spilling my drink after seeing someone spent $115 on a damn cup holder. Your money though.

Selling $115 cup holders is why they are bankrupt...

Actually, I think it was the awful marketing. The product is really good, and I could have gotten the same thing in strong plastic for like $30 or so, I think. But they didn't have that in red, so I had to upgrade. Gotta have the bling!

Crap, just noticed on the banner here that I could have gotten a gift certificate for $100 to Crutchfield if I had waited for a week to buy my Advan Neovas. That would have almost paid for my cupholder!
