Default Wipers keep on running!!!

Don't know whats wrong with my windshield wipers. When I turn on the car, they keep on running without being turned on. As of right now, I pulled the fuse so they stay off.

Does anybody know?

I think there is a wiper switch somewhere, maybe that's bad?

The wiper switch could be bad or a common problem is the wiper motor istelf. I had that happen for a while and ended up putting the wiper switch between on and off. That way I could still use them.

The wiper motor has some internal wiring contacts that break. Basically it doesn't know where to stop or "park".

Mine started working half assed so I never replaced it.

what year do you have?
After checking out both manuals, both the EK and EG wipers are wired the same so it doesn't really matter, but little things like that should be included when you ask questions like this.

cleaning the switch would be my first step.
after that check out the wiper motor to make sure that the park signal is working. If not clean that also.

on the EG they have a "mist" setting thats used by pulling the handle down (on right side of steering wheel)...Try pulling it up and see if that causes it to go off.
