anybody running type r cams?
stock valve springs should work fine as long as your not revving to 9K. Even at that, I think it will hold… but not if your taking it up that high all the time.

I put ITR cams in mine...
And the valves floated at about 8600... I'd rev it to the stock revlimiter with the ITR cams allll the time, too

i know that the intake has dual springs and are pretty stiff, but i am wondering if i can just buy the itr inner exaust and put them in to help out on that end. any input on this theroy?
this is the best set up.
Move the B16 intake dual springs to the exhaust valves.
Then buy the Type R intake valve dual springs.
We did that on my friend's B16.
his best pull on the dyno was 159HP with CTR cams, titanium retainers and the mixed B16-B18C5 springs.

I'm running ITR cams on Crower valve springs and retainers. My old setup was ITR retainers with ITR valve springs and I took that to 9K daily with no problems.
