if ur on the gas right at the end of 3rd gear before you shift to 4th the check engine light comes on.if u turn the car off and on it goes away.alos if the light comes on doesnt the car go in limp mode and die out?

 

the ecu only goes in limp mode in certain conditions.

 

its a 98 gsr tranny with a chipped p28 i bought the car like this

 

i have an ls/vtec set up too and mine did that for a while. I just disconnected the batt for like 10min and it never did it again. I also heard if you pull out the 20amp fuse for the ecu it'll reset it and you should be ok.
