Why do I need LSD?
LSD is a great tool, but the stock lsd units are far from perfect. Is lsd just another great way to put more stress on my drivetrain? (like bigger wheels, big brake kits, etc...)
My main question is this: the zc tranny has equal length axles and, therefore puts ~the same amount of torque through each wheel?
If I get some crazy wheelspin, that's my fault as a driver, not the car's, right?
LSD isn't guarantee-ing me traction, is it? --just more traction?
Hope this isn't too hard for the experts to answer, and I hope I came to the right place--you'd figure there'd be some folks here who know about zc trannys and their connection with the ground.

Some people find it hard to justify the expense without a quantified promised improvement.
The difference for me and my torquey B18b was night and day. I had huge traction/wheel hop issues with my lightweight 14" wheels and street tires. 1st thing I did was install a Jimfab bar. Wheel hop was gone but the tire would still break loose and spin. Put a LSD in and now it hooks up much harder, little or no spinning wheels.
And while it helps on straight line acceleration, it really shines in the corners.

All depends on why you want the LSD. Is there a purpose to your madness? Are you going to be RR/AX or drag racing your car?

Once you've driven a FWD with an LSD it's hard (impossible for me) to go back to open diff. LSD's do help you hook up for drags & is like night & day in the corners. You can really feel to added traction which allows you to push it in the turns.
