I been tryin to sell my motor for a while now and no one wants to get it localy but theres a couple people outta state that wants to pick it up, but i dont know where to go to ship it.

Where you guys go to ship your motors/tranny/etc. ???

btw selling- H22A swap and B16 hydro tranny

ups has a max of 150lbs....

do you research......I think freight companies charge 150-300 for a whole swap.....

u sure? i remember askin my local UPS and they offered freight and mentioned it will be a grip

the weight part is true cuz they told me. but i remember it was like 200lbs iono i forgot.

you have the numbers or location of these freight company ? and do they wrap up the motor for me or do i have to go find a pallete and tie it down myself.

I don't know ontop of my head....you gotta do your homework.....

I know of this because I remember one of my customers shipping out his motor that way....

he palleted it himself

greyhound..also consider shipping in 2-3 pieces..ei..head/short block/tranny

i just tried getting a quote from them and the most they do is 200lbs for each piece.

i kinda want to ship it complete so i dont have to take it apart. It would be better for the person buying too since they dont have to get a new head gasket.

well a complete longblock should be under 200 lbs..only the tranny would have to be seperated

well considering a complete B swap should be on the 260-280 lb range and the trany should be a good 80-90 lbs of that..you should be under 200, but it all depends on packing also...
