Default Well I Seafoamed today...

Kinda disappointed. I seafoamed my 150k mi 98 civic dx today. Eh, a little smoke. Oh, and nobody warned me that when you pull the brake booster line off, its going to make a scary *** wooshing noise. I about jumped out of my skin. Anyway, I let it inhale a little seafoam until it killed it. Waited 5 min. Reconnected brake vac line and started car. Almost fired right up like normal. Smoked just a little. About 20 miles down the road I decided to do it again because the first time I hadnt used 1/3 bottle as suggested. So this time I do it and I make the car inhale the ****. Killed engine, CEL came on, I laughed, and waited 5 min and started the car. Almost no smoke at all. No difference in the car other that I got a sweet check engine light on now.

If you give it a little throttle while dipping the line in the seafoam and let it suck a little at a time, it wont kill the motor.

You probably killed the O2 lol

I was under the impression when you seafoam you don't actually let it die, just pour slowly and if it attempts to die let off on the fluid a little

dude i dont think you suppose to let the engine inhale it. your suppose to let the engine sip it little by little and hit the throttle so the car doesnt die

Indeed. Mine smoked like a BITCH that way. I have a video somewhere... i'll upload it and post it. After I poured it into the crank case I let the car sit a little bit. Seafoaming did burn out 2 Spark plugs though but it was a cheap buy.

Well the first time I let it sip sip but I didnt get any results. So the 2nd time I was like "suck it bitch" but I didnt stick it into the bottle. I'll go check the cel code here in a minute.

I don't think you're suppose to let it "sip" it either lol. I used a funnel and just dripped it in slowly.

I have done this to all of mycars and they have all smoked like a NJ casino grandma for about 20-30 mins. sometimes for the full 30 mins at 90mph. but after a week or so you will notice a difference.

Could be a lite blue/grayish color (mine is). It's tucked up in there above the ecu. The plug is just a rubber cover.

so what's the right way to use this stuff? i blew up my engine, so i'm probably going to drop one in with over 100000k for cheap, and i'd want to try this - i've heard it works well.

edit:: I've also heard that you should change your spark plugs and oil after foaming cause that cemical gets all in there. A few have changed there O2's as well but I think this is usually unnecessary.

1hp difference in dyno's is not significant at all.

you can have 1hp differences with the same setup running twice on the dyno

I have seafoamed my car 2 times. And both times my check engine light came on. Both times it said it was my Vehicle Speed Sensor. ????? I don't know, but it never comes on except after I seafoam it.
