Default can't go past 4200 rpm

in every gear i cannot rev past 4200 rpm. i don't know what the problem could be. any suggestions?

i have a hondata s200b however i have disconnected it, i had to take off my turbo and exhaust in order to attempt to pass emissions, which hasn't worked yet, i put some "guaranteed pass" into the gas tank and i am driving through that tank at the moment.

Do you have the J1 jumper still connected on your ECU?

It sounds like your car is running in limp mode and the J1 is usually the contributor of it.

You are also more than likely throwing a CEL. Pull the code and see what it is.

My car did that all the time and one problem was that the speed sensor cable broke and as far as the motor was concerned the car wasn't moving so it would limit the rpms to save motor another cause is too much oil or an fouled ECU or improper settings try re connecting the hondata system and see what i gives you as for emissions just spend the 100 bux or so and get the exempt sticker saves you time and trouble
