Depends. Are you able to find a clean EG? Is the other CRX really rust free and $500??? I probably would go that route.

Get what ever has the most rust free chassis. If you find a rust free EG thats cool if you find a rust free CRX Si Id choose that route if its not a Si Id rather have a EG Hatch or Coupe unless the CRX already is wired for MPFI

yeah its an si...thats what has me tempted, already has mpfi and a sunroof which will work half the time hopefully...plus I have a real pro2 that I can keep alive...the eg is clean but not exactly immaculate, i just wanna do an EG...but i might still have too much EF in me.

It's not like MPFI wiring is difficult.

A clean 91 crx si, for $500? You'd be a fool to pass that up.

just from my experience, i started with a crx si back in 1998, since then i have had many ef's,eg's, ek's, dc's and now 8 years later i have a crx si, if your an ef guy you wont be happy with anything else, at least i wasnt. you should swipe up that $500 si anyway then make up your mind, you can always sell it for at least that much if you decide you want an eg.

yeah it seems like i just have a head start with EF's, ive never had time or money to do one exactly as ive wanted...if I grab the si ide have an SiR front end and Mugen kit ready to go on it too...I guess im gonna stick with the crx. but thats what I really wanna do anyway, thanks for affirming that fellas.

Like this is a one or the other decision....?!! Build them both!
I'm originally an ef guy... i sold it and bought an eg (which I love). but hated myself for selling it ever since.... 3 years later I finally found a clean 91si and I bought that ish in a heart-beat. I drive the ef daily and the eg when it's nice out... I love them both for there own reasons.

Honestly. it not like they are expensive to buy, or insure, or build for that matter.

I let my ef go and bought a eg about two years ago. Big mistake, now I am back.

Stay with the rex man there becoming more and more rare. eg's are a dime a dozen, i go to the track and every car there is an eg.... gets boring. like others said keep the spirit alive. there are next to no crx's near me but when i do see one i get so excited even though its a 90 year old lady driving it.
