Default TRANNY SWAP RECOMMENDATIONS

I have a 1996 Accord EX Sedan with a new motor with 50000 miles on it swapped in a few months back after I hydrolocked in the rain. Recently, my auto transmission has been acting up (Hard to shift out of park, Slipping while driving, & the car dosen't move forward sometime when I put it in DRIVE) I feel the tranny is seeing it last few weeks, maybe even days. I want to look at this as a oppurtunity to swap a 5SPD manual into my car. What I want to know is would a 96-97 PRELUDE 5spd tranny be compatible with a F22B1 ? If not, my other plan is to just rebuild the previous auto tranny. But I heard it's better to jsut buy a USED tranny than rebuild the old one. Any comments, recommendations, and advice is greatly appreciate and taken into consideration.

That prelude tranny will bolt up and you should be able to accellerate a bit faster, but I have heard that there is a general decrease in gas milage...

If you switch to an h22 or h23 transmission, be sure to swap TCUs.

This is crazy my name is also Duy and I live in 504 also doing a auto to manual swap! I'm doing it in a 6th gen but it's pretty much the same thing. You can go with either F22/F23/H22/H23 tranny.

Thanks for the reply!
i am going to a h22 1993 block into the 96 accord originally a auto f22b lx sohc vtec but 1 st owner changed the ecm to a [pob] manual non vtec ecm with a auto a non vtec trans and the car runs pretty good//// can use a 1994 Accord ex sohc vtec and leave it auto now but i can't find or know the right obd2 a/t tcm tcu for the f22b1 sohc vtec (OR ) a a't tcm tcu for the the h22a ecm p13) then later go all the way with the accord 5 speed interior shifter from the parts car with the 93 h22 vtec all in 1 shot and do i need an obd2 to obd1 kit pr what do i get next? from where?
i 'm scared so i might make the big jump to the 5 speed later ? any advice?

i bught a jdm auto trans and it bolted right up to the f22b eng just find a good place pn ebay . it runs pretty good even with a pob manual obd2 ecm cheaper price * jdm is a stronger a/t trans, i was told .
Get the lsd for faster starts even npn lsd but for gas milage get a longer gear ratio!
Hope this helps!
