Default LSD Faq?

I did a search on Honda-Tech and didn't come up with much, about 5 pages of for sale ads for LSD's. I'm looking into gettin an LSD for my transmission since it took a crap on me recently. Can someone please explain the idea behind an LSD.

I know that it keeps both wheels spinning at one time instead of one wheel spinning.

Also I wouuld like to know about the different type of LSD's. Examples include Viscous, 1.5 way, etc.

Cheers,
Alex

Oh come now, I might just do that but, I need to know more about it. I get the basic idea. I don't understand the different types.

Default google edumucation

http://quaifeamerica.com/differentials/diffs.htm

no one sells a viscous. so it's either gear or clutch pack.

main players are Quaife + Kazz. Suggest you read those websites.

What RJ has is a good start and its cheep other than that i would stick with what honda put in the ITRs also very available and rater cheep as well. ITR ones are damn hard to beat for a street car and have little if any maint that would need to be done once its in.

I'd suggest getting an OPM diff like the one RJ has for sale currently... they're pretty much indestructible and are much lighter than the Quafe/ITR options out there.

I've got one in my ITA car and have been REALLY happy with it's performance.
