what kind of speaker do you guys use on your teg?
I have 98 GS coupe with stock speaker system.
Im using Pioneer crap cd-player.
I want to change my speaker system.
reason is , it's not loud enough and no bass sound at all...
Im thinking about to spend atleast $100~$200.
I do not need any woofer system.
I just need little more bass sound.
What would be a good speaker for teg and around my budget?

a small sub will give you better bass quality than speakers could ever hope to. seriously. you can spend minimal on a sub and that combined with stock speakers and set up correctly will sound worlds better than aftermarket speakers.
should i just try to test the sub first and if did not work well
then should i go with Infinity components?
could you tell me more about Infinity components?
I want to know the model name too^^

one of my friends has infinity reference speakers in his car and he cranks the bass because he wanted more bass. he was asking too much from the stock speakers so his system sounds like *****. i have stock sound system with an infinity sub and it sounds worlds better than his. 1/3 of all the frequencies of your music can only be output by a sub.
could you tell me your sub model?
and price range?
oh and Infinity Kappa what model?
too many model which model will fit on teg?

dang man, if you want a good cheap SUB, go alpine sub, E series, 12" in a box fits PERFECTLY under that trunk, cabin seperator, then a cheap mono block amp works well... bazooka is a good brand, great cooling.... then you just need wires, its about a 250$ setup with a cheap box, it is waht i used to have, still have the sub, but got an alpine AI net amp to match my headunit... and i use infinity component speakers all around too
i have a 12 inch infinity reference dvc sub 300watts rms. it was a little less than 100 when i bought it 2 years ago. now, the 10 inch version can be had for about 50 bones if you find one on sale. the amp is what will cost you though. i bought a bazooka ba1300 300 watts rms into 2 ohms and it matches the sub (power wise)perfectly. i built the box for my sub myself for fairly cheap, all i bought were screws and vinyl because i already had 3/4 inch particle board. a box for the sub will be about 60 for a new one, people are selling used ones all the time though, ive seen them go for 20 for a dual 12 sealed box. or there is always this route: http://www.infinitysystems.com/carau...er=BSL&Cat=SUB
i spent 300 total because the sub wasn't on sale.

the type R's are great, but you should go 12" and get a cheaper one, you cant get the same frequency out of a 10" sub that you can out of a 12"... best is a 15"... which is too big for a teg
94 teg ls with Focal speakers in the back and shitty alpines in the front
Also 2 10" pioneer subs with mtx 421w amp
Got all this for $300 bucks from a friend I know. Hits pretty well.
Also thinking of mounting 2 12"s in the back corners of my trunks facing torward my 2 10's (behind back seat) and/or mounting the 10's where my spare tire is. Project I'm working on

that may sound like a good idea, but unless you know sound engeneering, you can cancel out a lot of sound waves and just get a lot of vibration

Yesh
Also, a good 50-100 watt amp powering the speakers over the hu,
Since you said it was "crap", will sound Very good.

I just recently upgraded my front door speakers... always have bought polk products so i figured i'd try out their newest ones... the MMC6500's... component setups are really the only way to go, IMO, they divide up the sound nice and evenly and the little "sub" provides enough bass for my liking. required some cutting of the tweeter hole, but nothing too serious. other then that you just have to wire and mount the crossovers.
i give them 5/5 for sure. not to mention they're CaRb0nFibre!

It's all about speaker placement.
I've got a set of Vifa 5.25"'s in Q-Form kick panels, beefed up with my own invention, kitty-crete (kitty litter and epoxy resin).
They put out ample bass, and set a better stage then anything can in the doors.
Then again, the horns help, too.
I suppose the subs add a little...
I'll add pics when we-todd-did comes back online (are they going to?).
