Default My un-biological baby!

I’ve had this car 9 years as of this past March. Bought it from the Honda dealership back in 97 after trading in my 87 CRX-Si for $4200 (sticker price was $5400 before trade) and this included a one year warranty.

Just a little about the exterior as this could get very lengthy..........

I repainted it in 98 or 99, original Si black. Although you can’t tell from these picks, it’s in a need of a new paint job, especially the sun roof! Yea, it’s got some serious cancer going on up there.

Wheels, Konig Rewinds with Azenus tires (15’s), if you get these for your rex more then likely you may need to roll your rear fenders like I did because of the offset. I’ve got the Ingalls camber kit all around so that’s another reason. I used a pipe wrapped with a towel and bent in the under side of fenders (Thanks “ Metric” for the advice). Yes your paint will chip but you can’t see that part so it’s something to consider.

The hood is a carbon fiber USDM SiR style (Fiber Image), it doesn’t fit perfect but it works. I bought it used for $275 so I can’t complain and it was in great shape.

I got these projectors (glass, APC I believe) back when they first came out over 5 years ago for about $250 so don’t clown them too much. :-) I’d like to get the HID’s down the road when time & $$ allows.

The spoiler is a EDM style and I love it! Not too flashy but noticeable to some.

Last, the Invidia exhaust. Some may not like the style but I’m sure if you heard it WOT it would bring a big smile to your face. The down side is the resonator, only because it’s a huge motha (gives the deep sound) and if your ride is really low you’ve got to be careful going over bumps. Before I got these Rewinds, the resonator would scratch getting into my own garage with my stock si wheels. The 15’s raised my car about 1/4” so that made a difference.

I’ve got lots of mods but I just wanted to post up pics and let people know about the wheels and exhaust.

Hope you like her!
JG

Yea, I know the stock headlights are best (looks) but I let a buddy borrow one headlight a few years back and he later sold his rex with my headlight. He's a good friend so I let it slide and the other stock one I have has a crack in it so I would rather have a new set.

These kind of blow chuncks but I can live with them. I priced a while back to get OEM lights (all the front ones) and it was over $600!! Maybe one day?

Thanks for the complaments!

I was thinking the same thing because I need some new pedal covers and that reminded me.

$600? Used ones will look better than those projectors and you can find em for less than 1/6 of that price.

With my set up, Eibach Sportline springs and KYB-AGX, I don't have any issues. If you go lower then this set up, according to "Metric" who's got these rims and tires at the moment on his rex, you will have a little rub if you turn all the way to each corner.

Yea, the pedals are a little "bling-bling" but I like having all the pedals and dead pedal match. No, my feet don't slip off unless of course there wet!

I personally like the shift *** too. After having the car as long as I have it's nice to change it up a bit but I won't go crazy. My wife actually bought me that shift *** back in 2000 and I recently put it on a few months ago! I was waiting to buy some decent pedals and floor mats to match it. As you can see I've got a lot of patience!

Thanks for the comments!

Those cables are there because I've been too lazy to take them out. I use to have a system with a custom built box with a pair of old school 12" kicker competition speakers that were facing down.

I took everything out over 4 years ago so I haven't listened to a radio in my ride sense then.

The box was hidden under the factory coverings and only thing visible was the stereo, EQ and tweeters on the side of the doors. I wish I didn't put them there (tweeters) but that was the thing back then. That head unit was on my old 87 si which explains the tape deck unit! Yea, it's over ten years old!

I had in my car (still have it all) Kenwood 10 disk CD changer, custom box with speakers which were pushed by a 220MXi AUTOTEK "Mean Machine" (this ****** hit!!) amp and a 4 channel Rockford Fosgate amp for the Kicker Resolution speakers. Had a small capacitor but wasn't strong enough cause sometimes I'd kill the battery.

True story, I remember basing outside a small building and the lady from inside came to me and asked to turn it down because I was knocking things down from her wall! Yea, I thought I was cool, what a dork!

Well, it's bed time for me so thanks for the replies and I'll check this out tomorrow.

Good night to all!!
JG

I saw these on ebay a few months back so it's something to consider.

Not all ebay stuff is crap, my current radiator you see is from ebay. That only cost me $24, it cost more to ship it!
