Is this too high for a tint job?
Is $295.00 too much to tint an integra, cause that what the shop is asking. They do pretty good work though. Also is Llumar the best tint film, because the shop told me that it was crap.
Thanks for any info.

On my prelude i used to have...I payed $180...and it was excellent. That was for all the windows too. I know the lude has a small back window but I also, my friend got her BMW 330 done at the same place and she payed $220 and it came out great as well. So I would think $295 is on the steep side.
Not a honda, but this will give you an idea. When I had my Dodge Ram, I tinted the whole truck, except the front windshield, and they charged me $100. Also, when I had my older Cadillac Sedan Deville, they also charge me $100. Both instances were at a authorized LLumar Dealer. I havent taken in my Integra yet, so I dont know what they want for my car. Also, make sure you get a LLumar Dealer, becuase they have authorized dealers everywhere, and your tint is guaranteed for the life of your vehicle.

i paid $165 for my itr....it was a descent job the only thing i dont like about it is the black dots on the backwindow made it hard for the tint to lay right....so it looks a little goofy....the last tint i had on there they just stopped it before the dots which also looked goofy...so i geuss it was a lose lose situation
I think anything over 225 and yur getting ripped.. I hate all my windows done in my crx with the GOOD TINT including small winshield strip and the removal of all the old tint for 223.48! and that was utah!
Seems pretty steep to me. I payed like $195, including a $20 vinyl stripe that went on the windshield. They also charged me extra for illegal tint.
That is waaay too much. I paid $150 for the five windows and it has life time warranty. I went with Onyx, which is a very good company. They're supposed to last longer and not turn into some crappy color or form bubbles.
Don't pay more than $200 for a tint job. Shop around.
And tell them not to tint the rough surface area at the top of the rear hatch as well as the rear quarter windows unless they'll shave it off first. Because if they just apply tint on those parts, it'll look stupid.
EDIT: And I don't know if there's a law concerning the third brake light in your area, but I'd suggest you tell them to take off the rear brake light and tint the whole window if its possible.

when you said "tell them not to tint the rough surface area at the top of the rear hatch as well as the rear quarter windows unless they'll shave it off first" were you talking about the dot matrix at the top of the hatch?
how wold yu get rid of it, razor?

Yeah I was talking about the dot matrix--lol I couldn't remember what it was called.
to me.
Most people either tint it over and live with the bubbled up look while others choose not to tint that part at all because it takes time to shave it off. I don't know the detail, but you'll need wet sand paper and soap....etc.
There was a similar post a while ago regarding the dot matrix...and for some reason search ain't working.
I've seen a pic of a rear hatch window that hasn't tinted the dot matrix part. From the outside, I couldn't tell a difference. But no clue how it'd look from the inside.
