Default anyone with sedans notice how other cars can see your speedometer?

I have been contemplating the purchase of a new honda/acura product including the 06 si.

I have noticed that in the sedans, any car around you can glance over and see your bright speedometer glaring out the window.

Is this the same with the coupe (which I have not seen many of) and the Si?

is there a way to keep this from happening?
Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather not have everyone staring into my guages and knowing exactly how fast I was passing them.

Its hard to see the speedometer unless your directly infront of it. I've passed a few other 06 civics and I can't see their's. If you have tint on your glass there not going to be able to see through it, espcially looking from an angle

I wonder if that's why people are always staring at my car at night. Those blue gauges catch your eyes.

i know that was my reaction. It's kind of annoying but the Si looks like enough fun that I'm still really considering it.

Um, if they are able to pace your car enough to see your speed couldn't they just look over at their own speedo to see how fast your going If you pass someone even 5mph faster, they won't be able to see your speed.

Why is this such an issue with you that your purchase of a car hinges on it?

yeah...if the thought of people seeing yuor speedommeter bothers you...you can dim the lights almost all the way ant it looks like its completely off...you can barely see it. Thats what i do sopmetimes...but most of the time i enjoy the bright dash set up....makes me feel like i am in some kind of futureistic rocket ship. lol.
