Default b16a won't rev over 6000 rpm

I tried taking my b16a to redline but it wouldn't rev over 6000 rpm. It's like the rev limit is 6000 rpm. VTEC works fine, and i'm not throwing any codes or CEL. Weird thing is I was able take it to 8200 yesterday. Any ideas? Thanks!

there should be arrows on them.losen the timing belt set both gears dead even at 12 oclock then reinstall the timing belt.before u put the timing belt back on after u got the gears lined up rotate the crank to tdc mark then put timign belt on and tightn the tesion bolt down.put batt. cables back on and fire it up.

some people think throwing a code means your cel light is on. its best to check the actual ecu
