Default 14.6 sec stock ls i'm wounder what a b16 head would do

a friend of mine has a civic hatch dx we dropped a b18a1 with ys1 trany and the only thing done to the motor is a 6 puck clutch and rev limiter that goes to 8500rpm. it run a 14.6 with drag slicks but the e-brake don't work, so we can't get the tires hot enough to get a good launch. anyway we're fixing the ebrake and he just bote a b16 head and he's going to port and cams and spring it. just woundering if the 14.6 is good for a stock ls. there s nothing done to the motor just clutch.

hell yeah 14.6 is good..i dont know why you set the rev limit for 8500 revs though,,thats pretty stupid for a engine that stops making power at around 6000-6500revs..

that time is pretty unbelievable with a stock b18a1,,im guessing the car is completly stripped and weights nothing..? and slicks without heat in them suck,,so that time ??

we bought a rev limiter for the b16 head we don't take it that high (7000-7025rmp) but the car is not striped, full inter, daily diver. we haven't even put the b16 head on. the rev limiter is a chip it upped the fuel pressure a little bite, that why we put it in so soon. we're looking for low 13's with built head. If no one believes what i'm saying, believe it, no header, intake, stock exhuast just a Muffler
just stage 3 puck cluth and rev limiter, we think we can get a 14.4 but don't know.

Last year I hit a 14.7 with my ls swapped full interior 90 hatch. I had ignition, header, intake, tuned ecu, and intake. I had a crappy launch and crappy tires. I could have run faster if it didnt one wheel wonder on me but by the time I could go around again My fuel pump went out on me.

yes i agree the ls motor isnt doing too much good after 6800 rpms that is an insane time for full interior and all stock....my friend had a 98 hatch with a b18b, aem cai, rs-r exmag, dc sports header and crappy tires but he got a 15.1 so 14.6 is hella good
