EBC Green and Red Stuff Pads
They're junk.
If you dont want dust, stick with OEM pads. All performance pads will coat your wheels in a layer of dust - wax them and clean them often if thats a problem.

They really are... I had some Greens that I got on close-out: they lasted exactly ONE 20-minute track session. Amazing. Definately NOT a track pad.

I only have experience with the green on the street. Good stopping performance but worn out very fast. And I also had warped rotors 2 times in a row while I had these on; can't think of anything I was doing different than when I didn't have these pads.

HP+ are junk too. Well, junk for the track. Fine for street use. I made the mistake of putting a set on before a trip to Beaverun. I could barely stop my car after they got good and hot. I had plenty of pedal, just no grab.
Back to Carbotechs for me.

Anyone else have any suggestions for low-dust pads, specifically for a Mini Cooper S? My dad bought Greens (for which I scolded him mercilessly), but the OEM ones dust like crazy too. I was thinking possibly Ultimates? He doesn't care about braking performance really.
I'll echo the junk call on the EBC greens as well....used them on a '00 Civic Si/SiR (EM1) mostly for street and some lapping and they had good initial bite at the cost of warping rotors and I would say some pretty severe dusting.
The reds did better but in all fairness they were used only as a lapping pad....
We also tried their yellow stuff on a heavy E36 BMW 325i for actual w2w racing and the driver reported good feel and bite, but ultimately they wore rather fast compared to the Ferodos and OMP pads he preferred.
EBC should stick to sport bike stuff.... they seem to be better at that.

I wouldn't call axxis ultimates low-dust pads. I use them and like them, but they make a mess.

See, I have a skewed view. I've been using them on the rears, and they make LESS dust than the GT-Sports or Spec VRs, but what the hell kind of comparison is that?
EBC gives me pads for the race kaa. I've got 2 sets of yellows and 2 sets of reds. 3 sets are still in the boxes a year later. I've had 4 track days and 2 45minute races on 1 set of yellows. My car weighs 2100 lbs with me in it, and is 63/37% weight biased. I haven't significantly worn the front pads yet....nor have a warped the rotors. The pads have never showed any signs of weakness either, and I've got them hot. Hot enough to crumble parts of the friction material on hot enough to melt boots on my calipers and turn the rotor hats white. I've never used the greens or reds though, but the yellows, AFAIC, are a better pad than the Axxis Ultimate, which I sell.

EBC greens are good for street use.
Reds were ok, but didnt last long and the bit didnt last very long on track. They faded very fast.
I got a 2 day track event on them before they cracked.
I'm using hawk hp+ now and they are doing very well on track for me.

looking for a low dust track pad?
if it's just a street pad, i know the mkIV VW guys are in love with the mintex red box pads b/c of their low dust. not really track appropriate though and not sure if they make mini S pads...

IMHO... two steps down from Ultimates... the Axxis/PBR Deluxe Organic... is one of the lowest-dust pads available.
I mean all pads make dust, that's how friction works... but those Deluxe Organics seem to leave the least mess on wheels.
MCS front fitment should be less than $50 if you know where to look.
(But they will literally catch on fire after about 3 hard laps on a roadcourse.)
Hope it helps,
Jon
