Default toda ******...who can answer this?

my friend just bought a toda clutch and flywheel combo...and what i saw on the clutch cover really suprised me...embossed into the metal was the word EXEDY...?wtf? does exedy manufacture for toda?

the clutch combo my friend got was the street application version...the cover just looks like the stock honda version.

so my qns is...J's racing also has a clutch combo...exedy clutch exactly the same except it also has the j's racing logo on it, and the fly wheel is the same weight, material and design as the toda one...

http://aj-racing.com/catalog/p...age=8

so would the j's racing combo be the same as buying the toda flywheel and the exedy organic clutch?

i just don't see the point of paying more just because another company has placed their name on something made by another company.

please correct me if i am wrong

thx in advance

the J's racing is the hyper single,
The toda is the Exedy organic, or Exedy ceremetalic 3puck (same as spoon i think)
Just order an Exedy

toda and exedy are both made by daikin

there may be some subtle differences in the compounds of the pucks/ discs, but they're pretty much identical physically - at least visually.....

As far as organic style clutch disks go, I like my AP Racing (the brake people, not APC ) unit better than the Toda/Exedy. The pressure plate that came with the clutch disk is made by Daikin, but is a bit different from the Toda/Exedy versions.

The Toda flywheel is a nice piece

cheers man!

would you happened to have the part number? or an image of the AP racing clutch? i just don't know which version it is,cause they don't seem to have an organic clutch...

just looking into street use, and the occasional track day.

thx again
